Good things this week;
It has only been a 3 day week at work….!!!!! Hurrah this I can cope with..! Although it has felt like a 5 day week as we have been sooo busy with several new residents here one of which in particular has had a fairly severe stroke and therefore is presenting the team here with some considerable challenges. This is good for me though as I am able to see a stroke patient at the beginning of their rehabilitation (shame I wont get to see the progress – one of the frustrating things about placements!).
The weather has continued in the same vein pretty much with blue skies and warm temperatures, something I will definitely miss when I return to the cold grey UK next week. Time really is flying by now I can’t believe it..! Long may the blue skies remain….!
I was requested by a couple of residents this week to assist them with their shopping it is always flattering when you are particularly asked for. The gentleman has had a couple of falls recently and his wife is not confident about going out on her own. So off he and I went to El Corte Ingles (big shop here that sells everything!) armed with a list supplied by his wife..! They both have invalidity scooters so I was walking along side him on the scooter and my main function was to reach things from the shelves..! Anyway it was something a bit different and they were both very appreciative of my help.
The plans for the semana santa (Easter) break are continuing to be made but looks as if we are heading to Ronda for the Thursday with Anna the physio here and then Friday to Malaga (meeting Victoria the psychologist) looking around and seeing some of the processions for Semana Santa.
Frustrating times…
A few frustrating times with staff but other than that not too much to report on this front really in 3 days...!
Things to look forward to…
The holidays over the Easter weekend and seeing the processions and some new places.
