Laundry/Cleaning & the meaning of Mañana!!

I have learned that Mañana in Spanish terms is not tomorrow as I originally thought …!! The reason I say this is that last Sunday I was told “mañana todo” (tomorrow I will do it all) referring to my apartment cleaning. However in spite of asking my supervisor to mention it, it has taken until Saturday to get anything done again…! The laundry is another saga all together, I went to collect my own laundry last Sunday from the basement. Then, this week had cause to go down there to collect some things for a resident…..the lady I usually see was there again, she is a lovely lady but again rattled off tons of Spanish at the rate of knots which I think was that she is not at work Friday, Sat or Sun and is back on Monday (although it could be the opposite!) Hence I have not taken any washing down this weekend need to take up the other pair of uniform trousers for tomorrow and will venture once more to the laundry tomorrow morning….!! In the meantime however someone else’s clothes seem to have appeared in my apartment so think perhaps I should return those at the same time….!!!!
